2008
• Missed the entire season with an injury.
2007
• Top men’s finisher for the Blue and Gold at Duquesne (15th, 27:12) and the National Catholic Cross Country Invitational (14th, 25:44).
• Placed second at Little Three Championships, which were hosted by Canisius (24:02).
• Beat his previous career best by two seconds at the Disney Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., placing 19th among 400 runners with a time of 26:15.
• Holds a current career best from his race at the Albany Invitational with a time of 25:36.
2006
•
Ran all six races for the Griffs.
• Recorded a time of 26:17 which placed him 22nd at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
• Was the top finisher for the Griffs at the National Catholic Championship, Disney Cross Country Classic and the MAAC Championships.
• First runner in program history to be named MAAC Runner of the Week.

• Set a personal record in the 5,000-meter competition in Ottawa, Ont., with a time of 15:15.
Before Canisius
• Served as a two-time team captain at Denis Morris High School.
• Secured a seventh-place finish at the 2005 Provincial Championships and was also named the team’s MVP.
• Also participated in track and field, where he was a three-time team captain.
• Qualified for the Junior Nationals in the 1,500-meter and 5,000-meter events.
• Was named the track and field program’s MVP from 2004-06.
Personal
• The son of Michael and Luisa Butters.
• Majoring in mathematics and business at the College.
• Has a younger sister, Krista and a younger brother, Marcus.
• Lists reading, playing guitar and collecting sports cards as his hobbies.
• Was the founder of the culinary arts club at his high school.
• One of two team representatives on Canisius' Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
