Notes: Returns to the cross country program after not competing during the 2004 season.

2003: Placed 62nd overall at the Orange Classic in Syracuse, N.Y., with her time of 25:26.

2002: Competed in two events as a sophomore... Placed 17th at the Little Three Championships... Finished 101st at the MAC Championships in Riverdale, N.Y.

Before Canisius: Was a two-year captain for the cross country team at Sacred Heart... Three-time letterwinner in cross country... Also won a letter in track and field.

Personal: The daughter of Don and Jonna Shepherd, Lori is a bioinformatics major with a minor in computer science and computer theory at Canisius... Also a member of the club crew team at the College... In the summer of 2005, Shepherd conducted research at the University of Southern California Earthquake Center... Went to the National Chemistry Conference in San Diego in 2005 to present undergraduate research... Will also make a research presentation at a conference in Palm Springs in the fall of 2005... Her mother also attended Canisius.
