Canisius University Athletics

Kissane comes to Canisius after serving as the Sport Administration/SWA Intern at the University at Buffalo for the 2013-2014 academic year. While at UB, Kissane played an instrumental role in all areas of athletic administration, working very closely with senior administrators on various projects, policies and events.

Prior to UB, Kissane worked in the Athletic Department at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh while completing her bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. While at Oshkosh, Kissane was a member of the cross country and track teams and also served as a personal trainer for the Oshkosh campus community.

Kissane has been involved in the sport for 14 years and was a four-year varsity letter winner and multi-time regional, sectional and state qualifier while competing for Nazareth Academy (LaGrange Park, IL). Additionally, she has four years of coaching experience, working primarily with the distance runners at St. Joseph School. Kissane remains active in the running community, as she is a volunteer with Girls on the Run and competes at road races nationwide.

Kissane earned her master’s degree in Sport Management from Florida State University in 2013 and is a graduate of University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
