Biography
2007: Raced in five meets for Canisius...Scored a season best time of 27.23 at the National Catholic Invitational at Notre Dame... Placed eighth overall at the Little Three Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. with a time of 25:26
2006: Competed in all six races for
the Blue and Gold... Posted his career-best time of 26:51 and placed 44th
at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Lake Buena Vista, Fla... Was the
top finisher for the Griffs, placing 21st with a time of 28:20 at the
UB Stampede Invite in Buffalo, N.Y.... Was the second-highest finisher
for Canisius at the Northeast Regional in the Bronx, N.Y. with a time
of 36:58.
Notes: Joined the program after transferring from Bowling Green, where he competed in 2005...
Before Canisius:
Was named Bowling Green’s Most Valuable Freshman after competing in
every event for the Falcons in 2005... Posted a personal-best time of
26:55 in the 8K at the Stanford Invitational and secured a
personal-best time of 36:44 in the 10K at the Great Lakes Regional... Won
15 varsity letters at Lockport High School, where he competed in cross
country, indoor and outdoor track and field... Was all-league in cross
country and track and field at Lockport... Helped his cross country team
place second at the Federation Meet in 2004.
Personal: The son of Tom and Denise Finnan, Brett is majoring in education at Canisius... Has two brothers, Ty and Chase.
