Canisius University Athletics

2007: Named to the 2007 MAAC All Academic Team with a 3.60 GPA... Raced in 2 competitions for the Blue and Gold...Placed 45th with a personal best record of 21:07 at the University at Albany Cross Country Invitational.

2006: Ran in four races for Canisius... Recorded her career-best time of 22:15 at the Seawolves Invitational in Sunken Meadow, N.Y... Recorded a time of 23:37, which placed her 83rd at the UB Stampede Invite in Buffalo, N.Y.

2005: Competed in all six events in her first year as a Golden Griffin... Had a season-best time of 23:31 at the National Catholic Championships in her first collegiate race... Placed 21st overall at the Little Three Championships as the Griffs placed second as a team.

Before Canisius: Was a member of the Hamburg High School cross country team for six year, where she won six varsity letters... Served as a team captain in her senior season... Finished in the top-50 at the 2004 sectional meet... Was named the program’s Most Improved Runner in 2002 and 2003... Also competed on the track and field team, where she won a total of 12 letters (six for the outdoor team and six for the indoor team)... Ran the 400, 600 and 800-meter events... Was named a scholar athlete for both the cross country and outdoor track and field squads.

Personal: The daughter of Edward and Kristin Pawlaczyk, Anna is dual major in communications and French... Her older brother Kyle was a four-year member of the cross country team at William & Mary... Her grandfather, two uncles, and aunt and her cousin all attended Canisius.
