Frequently Asked Questions – Canisius College Fan Cutouts
 
Are there restrictions regarding what I can wear or display in my cutout?
Yes. It is recommended that you wear Canisius gear in your cutout. We are unable to create cutouts that contain:
  • Third party marks, logos or branding
  • Commercial messages, including slogans, websites, social media handles or phone numbers
  • References to, or clothing of, other college or professional teams
  • Offensive, obscene, lewd, explicit, negative, sexual, violent, derogatory, discriminatory, infringing or otherwise inappropriate content
  • Alcohol, illegal drugs, tobacco or firearms/weapons
  • Political or religious content or endorsements of political candidates
  • Personal identification such as names, e-mail addresses or street address
  • Names, likenesses, photographs, or other indicia identifying any person without permission
Canisius College athletics and VanWagner may refuse to accept any photos in their sole discretion, including any photo that contains the prohibited content described above.

Can I purchase a cutout for my pet?
Yes! Just follow the same general photo guidelines.

Will I be able to select my seat location?
No. Fan cutout(s) will be placed randomly throughout the Koessler Athletic Center.

Will my fan cutout(s) remain in the Koessler Athletic Center for the entire 2020-21 season?
Fan cutouts will remain in the Koessler Athletic Center during the 2020-21 season, as long as governmental guidelines continue to prohibit fans from attending games. If fan attendance guidelines change, cutouts may be removed from the seating area to accommodate in person attendees.

If I order multiple fan cutout(s), will they be seated together?
Yes, but all of your cutout(s) must be purchased as part of the same order to be seated together.

Will I know where my fan cutout(s) is sitting and will I get a photo of my cutout(s)?
Yes. During the season, we will send a high-resolution photo of the entire seating area in the Koessler Athletic Center, and let you know which section your cutout is located in, so that you can find it.

Will my cutout be on TV?
We cannot guarantee that your cutout will be seen on television or as part of any broadcast.

Can there be multiple people within one image on a fan cutout?
Sorry, only one Griffs fan per cutout.

Will I get my fan cutout(s) back at the end of the 2020-21 season?
Yes. All fan cutouts will be available for pick-up at the end of the basketball season in March.

Does my purchase benefit a charity?
The net proceeds of fan cutouts will benefit the Canisius Blue & Gold Fund.
