Initial Eligibility Information
In order to be eligible to compete at Canisius College, or another Division I institution, all incoming freshman must be meeting the initial eligibility requirements set forth by the NCAA Eligibility Center. The Eligibility Center serves as a useful tool for prospective student-athletes providing information on academic requirements and amateurism provisions prior to college.

Transfer Student-Athlete Information
If you are currently, or ever have, attended a junior college, two-year college, or four-year college, there are certain requirements that must be met in order to transfer to Canisius College and subsequently participate in its athletics programs. In addition to meeting the general college requirements, the NCAA requires additional standards be met dependent on your status as a two-year or four-year college transfer.
Please note, that if you were ever a student-athlete at a previous four-year institution, coaches from Canisius College may not contact you about a potential transfer until they are issues permission to contact from your Compliance Office.
