2008:  Played in 40 games, making 13 starts... Played in 27 games as a substitute, which led the team... Hit .119 (5-for-42) with nine runs scored and two runs batted in... Was credited with three stolen bases... Came on as a pinch runner and came around to score the winning run in Canisius’ 3-2 win over Long Island in the NCAA Tournament... Went 1-for-2 with a run scored and a walk at James Madison March 14... Also went 1-for-2 with a run scored against Buffalo April 2... Had 15 putouts in the outfield and ended the season with a 1.000 fielding percentage.

2007:  Played in 42 games, making 11 starts... Started her first NCAA Tournament game May 19, against Cal State Fullerton... Hit .200 (10-for-50) with nine runs scored and two runs batted in... Closed out the season by going 2-for-2 in stolen base attempts... Went 2-for-2 with a double, a run scored and an RBI in Canisius’ win over Rider April 22... Had a double against George Washington March 3... Led the team by playing in 31 games as a substitute.

2006:  Played in 47 games, making 47 starts, primarily in left field... Hit .299 (24-for-105) with five doubles, a homer, 11 runs scored and 10 runs batted in... Picked up her first collegiate hit in her first college game at Norfolk State... Hit a walk-off, two-run homer in the bottom of eighth inning in the team’s 4-3 win over Purdue... Had five multi-hit games, with her first one coming at Hampton when she went 2-for-3 with two doubles, a run scored and a run batted in... Posted a .935 fielding percentage with two assists.

Before Canisius:  Won four varsity letters at San Benito High School playing for head coach Scott Smith... Was named the Hay Balers’ best offensive player after her senior year... Was a second-team all-league selection after her senior campaign... Also a member of San Benito’s golf team... was a scholar-athlete award winner three times.

Personal: The daughter of Mike and Ramona Barrientos, Rachelle is majoring in biology at Canisius... Her father Mike is an assistant coach with Salinas Storm... Has three siblings, Cynthia, Sonja and Carlos... Lists watching movies and listening to music as her hobbies.
