Biography

Notes: Named a team captain for 2009... Enters her final season in Blue and Gold with a school record 20 saves, making her one of three players in NCAA Division I history to have 20-plus career saves.

2008:  Set an NCAA Division I record with 15 saves... Was the only player at the Division I level to acquire more than seven saves during the year... Pitched three scoreless innings at Manhattan April 7, to earn the save and break the school’s career saves record... Set the school’s single-season saves mark April 12, after she pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against Fairfield... Finished the year with an 8-4 record and a 1.41 ERA in 89.1 innings of work... Her 1.41 earned run average ranked first in the MAAC... Set a program record with 41 appearances in the circle, which led the MAAC... Started four games... Earned her first career complete-game win against Siena at home May 3...  Had a career-high 92 strikeouts... Fanned six batters in her shutout win over Siena... Was named the MAAC Pitcher of the Week and the ECAC Division I Pitcher of the Week Award for the week of April 14... Opponents hit .187 against her... Was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team.

2007:
  Made 15 appearances with one start... Posted a 1-2 record with a 3.79 ERA in 20.1 innings of work... Had two saves... Earned her first win of the season in the MAAC Tournament against Saint Peter’s after she came on in relief and tossed 0.2 innings of scoreless action... Struck out 12 batters faced... Made her only start of the season at Loyola Marymount March 17.

2006:  Made 14 appearances with one start in her rookie season... Posted a record of 1-2 with a team-high three saves in 21.2 innings of work... Picked up her first collegiate win against Iona at home after tossing two scoreless innings with two strikeouts... Was credited with her first collegiate save in her first college game at Hampton... Was a member of the Markham Jaguars team, which claimed the Canadian National Championship during the summer 2006... In that tournament, she went 3-0 in the circle in four appearances.

Before Canisius:  Won four varsity letters as a pitcher for Anderson CVI... Was named the team’s MVP and posted an 0.25 earned run average.

Personal:  The daughter of Harold and Shelley, Mallory is majoring in physical education at Canisius.
