Breckels Named Metro Men’s Performer of the Week

Canisius junior Fenway Breckels has been named the Metro Men's Performer of the Week, following his third-place finish at the Little Three Championships Saturday.

The Griffs opened their cross-country season Saturday, hosting the Little Three Championships at Delaware Park in Buffalo, N.Y. A St. Catharines, Ontario native, Breckels finished third, crossing the line in 15:29.3. The third-place finish helped the men's team capture its 20th consecutive Little Three title.

The Griffs are back in action on Sept. 19. at the National Catholic Championship hosted by Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.
