Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Women’s Soccer Defeated by Robert Morris

Robert Morris scored a pair of second-half goals to defeat Canisius, 2-0, in collegiate women's soccer action Sunday afternoon at the Southpointe Fieldhouse in Canonsburg, Pa. 

The Colonials (2-4-0) found the back of the net in the 70th minute of the contest when Gabriella Lecuona put one past Golden Griffins (0-4-2) goalkeeper
Jordan Spencer.

Robert Morris added an insurance goal when Sheridan Reid scored in the 79th minute of the match.


Canisius had eight shot attempts in the match, but could not put one past Robert Morris goalkeeper Isabella Bohlen.


 
Game Notes
• Sunday's match served as the 12th meeting between Canisius and Robert Morris. 
• Senior Maya Palmer made her season debut. The defender appeared in 31 minutes of action.
• Sophomore Tiani Fonoti had five shots, including two shots on goal in the loss
• The Colonials took three of the four corner kicks awarded in Sunday's contest.

• Canisius returns home where it will face Big Four rival Buffalo on Thursday in its final non-conference match of the season. Kickoff between the Griffs and Bulls is set for 7 p.m. at the Demske Sports Complex.
