Junior Erica Evans of the Canisius women's lacrosse team has been selected as an All-American for a second consecutive season, being named as a member of the IWLCA Second Team, the association announced Wednesday.

The three-time MAAC Midfielder of the year joined the Second Team for the first time in her career, after being selected to the IWLCA Third Team a season ago.

Evans was a leader for the Griffs in all areas during the 2017 campaign, leading the Blue and Gold in goals (76), points (108), caused turnovers (43) and ground balls (69), while ranking second in assists (29) and draw controls (67).

Canisius' first Tewaaraton Award semifinalist, Evans set new season standards for both Canisius and the MAAC with her goal and point totals, becoming the first player to reach 100 points in a single-season for both the team and conference.

During her junior campaign, the midfielder also broke the Canisius career goals record (186), set the school mark for goals and points by a junior, broke the school record for ground balls in a season (69) and became the first player in program history to reach the 200 point plateau as a junior (245).

Evans is now only two goals shy of tying the MAAC career goals record, 11 points away from equaling the Conference points mark for a career and is six points away from the Canisius career points record, with a season remaining in her career as a Griff.

In total, the IWLCA announced 48 student-athletes to the 2017 Division I All-American teams. The IWLCA will honor the National All-Americans at the IWLCA All-American Banquet on Saturday June 3, 2017 at the Hunt Valley Inn in Hunt Valley, Md.
