The Canisius women's lacrosse team is set to meet No. 14 Boston College in the first round of the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship on Friday, May 12. Game time in Syracuse, N.Y., is set for 4 p.m.
The Golden Griffins and Eagles will be playing at the Syracuse University Soccer Stadium due to Syracuse University graduation ceremonies this weekend. The SU Soccer Stadium, which opened in 1996, is located at Lampe Athletics Complex.
Fans looking to purchase tickets can do so at the gate on the day of the game. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students with institutional ID cards and children 12 years of age and younger.
Syracuse University does not permit spectators to bring laptop computers (permitted for credentialed media only) or video cameras (permitted for teams only) into the stadium. Additionally, lacrosse sticks and/or balls are not permitted as well.
Per NCAA rules, laser pointers, noisemakers and umbrellas are not permitted at any NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship game.
Canisius earned its berth into the 2017 NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Championship field by defeating Fairfield 13-10 in the MAAC Championship game last Sunday. The Griffs are making their sixth trip to the NCAA Tournament in the last seven seasons.
