Women's Swimming & Diving Canisius College Athletics

Swimming and Diving drops tri-meet to Alfred and William Smith

ALFRED, N.Y. - Freshman Teresa Rosetti (Delmar, N.Y.) broke the school record in the 200 butterfly with a time of 2:25.10, but the Canisius College women's swimming and diving team dropped both sides of a tri-meet, losing to Alfred and William Smith Saturday afternoon. The Griffs fell 126-109 to Alfred and 128-105 agianst William Smith.

Other highlights for the Blue and Gold included freshman Jen Twarozek (Orchard Park, N.Y.) with first-place finishes in the 100 free (57.22) and 200 free (2:04.89) and junior Kellie Guth (Andiver, N.J.) with top honors in the 200 IM (2:26.33) and the 200 back (2:21.61).

Canisius hosts Siena Colleg in the first home meet of the season Saturday afternoon at noon in the Koessler Athletic Center pool.
