The Canisius College volleyball team will be participating with the Side-Out Foundation and the Dig Pink campaign on Wednesday, Oct. 19, when the Golden Griffins take on Niagara University in the Koessler Athletic Center at 7 p.m. Both teams will be wearing pink shirts during warmups and all fans are encouraged to wear pink to the match. The game will also serve as an Athletes for Athletes game, with all Canisius student-athletes also encouraged to wear pink.

For the second consecutive year, the Golden Griffins have a team goal to raise $1,000. Fans can make donations at the match on the Oct. 19 and donations also can be made online by clicking here.

The Side-Out Foundation was established in 2004 to unite volleyball players and coaches and to have them work toward the common goal of furthering breast cancer awareness, education and patient services. The funds are contributed to organizations that serve breast cancer patients, in the form of research, medical services or compassionate support.
