Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2018 Schedule

First-year head coach Mark Miyashita announced the 2018 schedule for the Canisius men's lacrosse program on Wednesday, a 14-game game slate that features six home games, seven road dates and one neutral-site contest.

"Our 2018 schedule provides a great opportunity to play a diverse schedule of teams in non-conference play that will help to prepare us for the rigors of MAAC play," Miyashita said. "The MAAC schedule will be a great challenge as the team looks to qualify for the conference tournament for a third consecutive year and challenge for a conference championship."

The Golden Griffins open their season with a three-game road swing that begins Feb. 17 at Dartmouth and also includes a road contest at Binghamton (Feb. 20) and a neutral-site matchup with Furman in Philadelphia (Feb. 24).

Canisius opens its home slate March 3 with a matchup against Cleveland State.

Road dates at Colgate (March 17) and 2017 NCAA Tournament quarterfinalist Albany (March 20) and home dates with NEC counterparts Hobart (March 27) and Robert Morris (April 10) round out the non-conference slate.

MAAC plays gets underway March 24 at Siena. Canisius also travels to Marist (March 31) and Quinnipiac (April 14) during league play while hosting conference foes Detroit Mercy (April 7), Manhattan (April 20) and Monmouth (April 27).

The top four teams in the MAAC regular season qualify for the 2018 MAAC Championship, to be held at Monmouth University in West Long Branch, N.J. The semifinals are scheduled for May 3, while the championship game is slated for May 5. All three games will be shown live on the ESPN family of networks.

Season and individual game tickets will be available for purchase in January. For more information, contact the Canisius Ticket Office at (716) 888-TIXX.
