Chad Maloy

Maloy enters his second season as assistant coach of the Canisius College cross country/track and field teams, after an illustrious five-year career for the Blue and Gold. Maloy finished his career with four school records, including the indoor track 3k and 5k events, as well as the outdoor 5k and 10k events.

During the 2015-16 cross country season, Maloy gained individual titles at the Canisius Alumni Classic, Little Three Championship, National Catholic Championship and the IC4A Cross Country Championship.  During the 2015-16 indoor track season, Maloy broke the Canisius record in the 5k event from the Youngstown Invite, before breaking the record again at the MAAC Indoor Track and Field Championships. In the outdoor track season, Maloy became the first Buffalo-area collegiate runner break the 30-minute mark in a 10k event.

Aside from his athletic accolades, Maloy has been an assistant at the U.S. Olympic Training Center’s High Peaks Elite Distance Camp in Lake Placid, N.Y. since 2012.
